The Technique

Base Coat
Velatura is applied undiluted with a brush in a crosshatch pattern. This first coat establishes the color and provides full, even coverage across the wall. It dries in 4-6 hours.
Wash Coat
The second coat is diluted 50-80% with water and applied with brush and cloth. This is where the magic happens — the diluted mineral wash creates clouds of color, movement, and depth across the surface. Different techniques produce different effects.
Color Play
